the word “Semillas” means “seeds” in Spanish.
That name represents everything we believe.
Every child is born with incredible potential. During the first three years of life, tiny moments - being comforted, hearing language, exploring nature, sharing books, laughing with a trusted caregiver - become the roots that support a lifetime of learning.
At Semillas, we believe those early years of development deserve something special.
More Than Child Care
Semillas was created to be more than a place where children spend the day.
It is a small, relationship-based bilingual ealry learning program intentionally designed for infants and toddlers.
Our goal is simple:
To create a calm, nuturing environment where children feel safe, loved, respected, and inspired to discover the world around them.
Children learn best through relationships. Before they learn letters and numbers, they learn trust. Before they speak, they learn through connection. Before they become confident learners, they first need to know they belong.
Those relationships are at the heart of everything we do.
Why Bilingual?
Language is one of the greates gifts we can offer young children.
Throughout each day, children naturally hear and experience both English and Spanish through songs, books, conversation, routines, and play.
Our goal isn’t simply teaching vocabulary.
It’s helping children develop curiosity, confidence, and appreciation for another language and culture from the very beginning.
Research continues to show that early bilingual exposure supports cognitive flexibilty, communication skills, and cultural awareness - benefits that can last a lifetime.
Learning Through Everyday Moments
Some of the richest learnig doesn’t happen during a formal lesson.
It happens while watering flowers.

Hi! I’m Tamika, founder of Semillas Bilingual Early Learning. With more than 22 years of experience in early childhood education, a bacholers degree in child development, and a mom of four, my passion is creating a nuturing bilingual environment where infants and toddlers can build strong relationships, explore nature, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
